A claimed Sales agent stole a gas bottle

On Tuesday 18 June 2013, a young boy of about 28 years old who claim to be  a promotion agent of an unknown company stole a gas bottle filled with gas in a store at the Commercial Avenue adjacent to Bo com Station. This boy got to this store to pretentiously make  his  promotion to the shop keeper and realizing the later was not there, he stole  a gas bottle claiming he bought it, as he was leaving, he was caught  by another shop keeper who knew his neighbor was not around,

This Shop keeper   asked where he was going to with that gas bottle, when the boy knew he was already caught he drop the bottle and wanted to run away but unfortunately he was caught by other shop keepers who seriously beat him and was rescued by the police. He was carried to the Police station for further investigation. It is difficult to give a concrete reason for this terrible action.

City Of Kumba, City Of Lights.

Street lights are now available  in the town of Kumba, particularly at  some of the major entrances  leading to the main quarters in Kumba that were formally very dark and frightening for people to use them. This of cause usually was a good area for armed robbers and rapists who normally attacked people particularly girls and women and collected stuffs like phones and money  from them.Even many young men(bike riders) have lost their bikes to these unscrupulous human beings in the night at these places that used be so dark at night. With the coming of these streets lights, the story has changed as it has reduced the high rate of  crimes around those areas which formerly were hide outs for these men of the under world. These lights it should be noted have been put along all the major streets of Kumba.

Kumba indeed, has become a place to be by night or by day because of the availability of these street lights, which have also  improved on not only the beauty of the town but the security as well.
