Zamatu also displays the Arts

Jude of the Office of Studies And Analyses displays Louis' work.

In a bid to keep arts and culture alive, the art industry in Cameroon is doing great things. And artist, popularly known as Louis, is engaged in the production of different kinds of items, with banana leaves. He represented the South West region in the  Agro Pastoral show which took place in Ebolowa to display his works, and also to show that nothing is useless, as Banana leaves are a source of raw materials for wealth creation. Louis said that  when he gets the banana leaves; he dries them under the sun until they are ready for use, then he begins crafting what ever he intends to. Things which can be made from dry banana leaves are maps, caps, chairs, bags and traditional files. Talking to Jude Tso, of the Studies and Analysis office of the Kumba 1 Council, who received the Council’s New year gifts from   Louis, he said it is really enterprising to realise that something can be made out of nothing. That if many Cameroonians could engage into a practice like this, Cameroon will be a greater Nation.
