Division II  football outfit , PWD of Kumba has picked up a ticket for the last 16 of the Cameroon Cup. PWD qualified after beating EMSA of Tiko by 2-0  in the Regional finals of the Cameroon cup.

The game was a crucial one for the lone flag-bearers of Kumba after their comrades, Bao Manipuk and Kumba Lakers lost their qualifying games by forfeiture.  The match maintains their 11th undefeated run in all competitions without conceiving a goal.

PWD kumba has been paired with Njalla Quan Sport Academy in the round of 16, in the on-going Cup of Cameroon. The match has been scheduled for Wednesday, March 23 at 3.pm Cameroon time at the Buea Municipal Stadium.

The coach of PWD, Dipita Mahop says ,“the success of my team is thanks to unity. I am very confident we are going beat Njalla Quan Sport Academy in the Cameroon cup. We have proven it in our matches and we are not going to stop here.”

The team would hold an extraordinary meeting in the days ahead to rally home support and fine-tune strategies. The coach still believes “the support from football lovers in the city of kumba would boost the moral of the team”.

Apart from PWD Kumba, Four teams from the South West Region have made the through National level of this competition. On Saturday March 19th, in the Douala Reunification stadium ,Sable FC of Batié confronts Buea United at 3.PM. On Sunday March 20th, in the Tiko Town Green Stadium, Best Stars  Academy plays Douala Athletic Club. On Wednesday March 23, at the Edea Municipal stadium,Boum’s FC versus Tiko United.
