The Mobile Telephone Network, (MTN) celebrated its 10th anniversary with the people of Kumba. This occasion took place on Friday March 25th at the palace of Nfon V.E.Mukete. Farming equipments worth over 40 million francs were donated to some groups in Kumba by the MTN Director General, Phillippe Vandebrouck.

In his address, the Director General used an African adage, which compels a successful child to return home to pay homage to his parents. Reason why Kumba was chosen for this celebration so that the successes of their son Prince Ebako Mukete, chairman of MTN Cameroon,can also be felt at home.

The DG  further said distributing farming equipments such as trucks ,cutlasses, hoes watering cans, was a means to support farming which is the major occupation of the inhabitants, and also forms a backbone of the economy.
