The Kumba 1 Council and JCI Kumba chapter has signed a partnership agreement. This partnership is aimed at Empowering and activating young people to take ownership of the challenges of the Kumba Community. Also, it is a frame work for sustainable action that produces tangible results and measurable societal development.

In a discussion with JCI National President, Takor Takor, it was agreed that at the end of each year, this partners should organize a Top Outstanding Young People Award, to encourage and promote the youths of the Community in their various domains. These partners in development discussed the need to encourage young people to create their own businesses, rather than wait for the Government to provide one for them.

The Mayor of the Kumba 1 Council, Prince Ekale Mukete thanked the National President of JCI Takor Takor, the Kumba branch President, Alemju Fontu and the branch members for the confidence in selecting Kumba 1 Council as a possible partner in its activities.

The National President on his part expressed his pleasure in been present and witnessing the signing agreement with the Kumba 1 Council. Since JCI attaches a lot of importance to Kumba and they have realized that they have a lot in common with the Kumba 1 Council. He also promised that they will do everything within their power to improve the image of Kumba.

The Branch President could not conceal his joy of been the President to sign the Partnership agreement with the Kumba 1 Council, and promised to be an Ambassador of the Kumba 1 Council and to bring out positive results.
