Eight stores recently got burnt in the Fiango neighbourhood due to a fire incident. According to eye witness accounts, the fire started at about 11:00p.m.on Tuesday night and the cause of the fire are yet to be known. Mr. Musa, an inhabitant of the area said heĀ  heard screams outside on that fateful night and when he went out to check what was happening; he discovered that the building was already ablaze. They all gathered to help put out the fire to avoid it crossing over to the nearest house. But the fire was so strong and had consumed 8 stores that were built with plank.

Children look for money and other valuable items after the fire incident.

Eye witnesses accounts disclosed that a certain tyre dealer who owns one of the stores had gone to Douala the previous day and had bought goods worth over three million CFA Francs and all had been consumed by the flames, Also a seamstress had recently moved her equipments into one of the stores, and during the incident everything in her shop got burnt.

Every thing was destroyed.

Kumbadayandnight are still to meet the victims who are yet to come in terms with the heavy loss as some of them had collapsed and were rushed to the hospital.

The only hope this victims have now is the government as they are hoping that they will receive some assistance from the Administration.
