It was a very quiet day as people could not be found walking on the streets and carrying out their daily activities as usual. The long awaited 9th of October had finally come. A day set aside for all Cameroonians to carry out their civic responsibility by voting for their choice of president.

In respect to the degree signed by the Senior Divisional Officer for Meme, David Koulbout Aman, all businesses in the Division had to close from 7:00 am till 6:00pm when the results of the various polling stations will be released.

With the release of the Results in the various polling Stations within the Kumba 1Sub Division, the Cameroons People Democratic Party (C.P.D.M) was the leading  party with the highest  number of votes.  Followed by the Social Democratic front (S.D.F) and the People’s Action Party (P.A.P).Voters  within the Kumba 1Sub Division are  still expectant and hoping that their votes will count while, waiting for the fifteen days when the winner of the presidential elections for the post of President of the Republic of Cameroon will be announced.
