October 19th 2011 marked  the beginning of the” Pride Show” .This show took place  at the   C.P.D.M Hall in Kumba. The show is all about show casing  various  culturals, through dancing, singing and modeling. The show was conceived and  organized by madam Pride Sone and sponsored by the Kumba City Council. The event started at about 12;30 pm, with nine groups participating.  A word  of encouragement and confidence  came from Madam Pride Sone , who told the people to be proud of themselves and thier cultures by speaking their various dialects with no shame, and also representing it  in their appearances. The chief judge of the competition Mr. Ekode Wilson read out the criterias that will be used to judge the various dancing groups.  The competition runs till Saturday, when  the best six participating groups will come out with their prizes, and consulatory prizes will also be awarded to the other four groups.

The show was made up of  nine registered dancing groups who took part in the competition, such as;Mbo Barombi dance group, Bafut Youths, Bakossi dance, Nzan group, just to name a few and the first best six group selected would receive prices on the final date which is Saturday 22nd October 2011 regarding their points still at the C.P.D.M hall, but never the less the remaining three groups will not go without being  compensated.

we can remark that the event was a joyful one as enough  entertainment was gotten from the various dancing group and Madam Pride calls for more groups to register in order to increase the level of the show and bring more excitement.
