The resident of Mefako Bekondo has been informed that human right was birthed in the Garden of Eden when God created man. This declaration was made in Mefako  Bekondo, by the board chairman of a kumba right association Global Conscience Initiative (GCI), Barrister Penda Eddie Nelson on the occasion of the 2011 edition of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights that took place in Mefako Bekondo under Mbonge Subdivision and with a population of over 1000 persons, is about seven miles from kumba, the Meme Division headquarters

Speaking unscripted, Barrister Penda said human beings were endowed with rights from the creation of the world. He further pointed out that due to greed and other selfish and parochial concerns, other human beings have stripped their kind necked of these God’s given rights

Also speaking unscripted, the traditional ruler of the village, Ekunbe Thompson Itoe applauded the GCI initiative for education his subjects on various aspects of their rights over the past three years

Speaking on behalf of the women, Joan Bokwe appraised the GCI contributions to the education of the inhabitants of Mefako Bekondo, especially the females on their right. Bokwe then created a stir when she recalled that before the GCI lectures on human rights, woman who for one reason or the other refused to have sex with their husband were beaten up, adding that even when these women prevailed over their husbands they refused to eat food prepared by their wives.

Kumba day and night observes that the United Nations instituted the universal Human Right Declaration in 1948. The GCI delegation to Mefako Bekondo included among others its directors Ntebo Ebenezer and Dianella Rose all intern.
