CERAC donates agricultural equipments to women and youths in Kumba

The Circle of friends of Cameroon, (CERAC), saturday May 5th , donated a consignment of gifts. The gifts were mostly made of agricultural  implements to women  and youth groups in Meme Division. Catherine Ngomba Eko, the Vice President of CERAC represented the founding President, Madam Chantal Biya.

The ceremony dubbed ” ceremony of  the donation of gifts to the Rural woman and youths of Meme”.This occasion took place at the  Kumba Amusement Park, and was attended by South West Elites within and without the Division.  Some of the beneficiary groups include Upper Balong women, Laduma women, Teke women, happy disabled women,Toko women, Ndinge women, SIAC women, Meme women cooperative, Nsumediang women, Mile 18 women, Bakundu women.Among  the donations were wheel barrows, cutlasses, plastic spraying cans, rain boots, sewing machines, t.v. sets, push trucks, hair dryers, pick axes, improved maize trucks, beans  planting seeds (5kg).


In her address Catherine Ngomba Eko said she was happy to represent Chantal Biya in  Kumba. She also said CERAC has since its inception championed the cause of especially women in the rural areas who according to her  have been in the forefront of food production, poverty alleviation in Cameroon. Adding that the food this rural women produce feeds even the population of the neighbouring countries in the Central African Region. she recalled  that  CERAC  visited the women of the Valle’e D’Ntem on April 14th  in the South Region, same purpose they are in Kumba.

Also speaking on the occasion, were the Delgate of women  Affairs and the family, and a representative of the youths. the bloated CERAC delegation included among others its South West Regional representatives, Bernice Mengot and Bertha Ndoh Bakata.
