The embattled president of Meme Red cross Society Joseph Eyambe Bokossa Friday 27 April 2012 bounced back as president, following ill fated attempts by some members of that movement to oust him.

The national Red Cross office in Yaounde has been inaugurated by some members of the Meme Red cross. These complaints range from financial impropriety running the movement solo like his father’s estate failure to convene meetings, accumulation of functions among others. On the strength of these allegations, the National office of the Red Cross dispatched a two persons delegation to Kumba to evaluate and appreciate its problems for the smooth functioning of the red cross in Meme. This two person’s delegation in charge of organization and Development at the Red Cross head office in Yaounde included among others, Tanda Prudencia. Before the arrival of the team to Kumba ‘enemies ‘of the Bakossa whom he later described as in his tense opening speech as Indian Herm Smoker, drunkards and un presentable had come out with several lists to contests for the election that never was.

After presenting the report of his stewardship at the helm of the Red Cross in Meme for close to eight years, Bakossa was severally and integrated for hours by Tande Prudencia. The rank and file of the Red Cross was then asked to air out their grievances either against Bakossa or any aspect of the Movement in order to find out lasting and durable solutions to the problems plaguing the movement. When Tanda Prudencia later announced that the report of her finding exercises would be taken to Yaounde and that until Yaounde orders fresh elections, Joseph Eyambe Bakossa remains the president of the Red Cross. Several persons went out of the hall feeling disappointed. Though emerging Jubilant and uncalled from the meeting, Bakosas refused to speak to Kumba day and night.
