An organization, known as Save Africa Children, based in Los Angeles, is presently visiting Cameroon to provide assistance to some vulnerable children. Twilla Tanyi is the Creative Communications Coordinator, and has been going around visiting the schools that have been selected.  Among the schools selected to benefit, is the Azi Orphanage.

The Save African Children is an organization that was created 10 years ago by Bishop Charles Blake, with a primary vision for Black Americans to be to Africans like Joseph was to his brothers in the bible: since they are in a position to provide assistance to their brothers in Africa.

The Save African Children organization provides resources to caregivers, orphans and vulnerable children in the areas of Education, Nutrition and Infrastructure. They also work with community organizations and churches in the grass roots by helping them to be self-sustaining.  This organization has been to Zambia, and has helped in improving the life style of some of the people in areas such as farming since they can now consume and sell some of their produce.

A  Philanthropist by the name of Gwen Thomas, who realized through her DNA results that she originated from Cameroon, has be quitted more than half of her money to cater for Cameroonian children, and the remaining to the rest of Africa. The money donated can last a period of 18- 24 months

The Organization has so far sponsored about 24 African countries. Their finances are mostly received from donors.  The beneficiaries have to meet up with certain criteria before the money is used for the purchase of the school needs and books for the children.
