GBTTC sends out 203 teachers

Government bilingual teachers training college (GBTTC) Kumba has graduated 203 student teachers with a call for the graduating teachers not to abandon the teaching profession for other lucrative jobs. The principal of GBTTC, Tambe Goerge was speaking on the occasion of the prize award and graduating ceremony of the 2012 batch of students of that institution that took place on Wednesday 27th June 2012. The 203 grade I student teachers respectively studied for 3, 2, and 1 year depending on their entry qualifications.

The graduating ceremony presided over by the SDO for Meme, Koubout Aman David, the second Assistant SDO, Yougkuma Nelson, was equally attended by the DOs for Kumba I, II.III subdivision, the Government Delegate to the city council, Ngoh Nkelle Victor, the mayors of the three sub divisional councils, the south west regional Delegate of Education, Ngundu Francis and many other high personalities concern with education

In his address, the SDO pointed out that the Cameroon government places a higher premium on education. To this end the SDO appealed to the graduating teacher students to adhere e to the basic tenets of the teaching profession and to impart wholesome morals attitude in young Cameroonians, especially given that teaching is an all encompassion profession.
