The tarring of the Kumba to Mamfe road will kick start in January 2013. This information was divulged to the beneficiaries of this road by a four man African development Bank delegation in a meeting that took place at the Kumba city council Banquet hall on Wednesday  July 4 . The four man African Development Bank delegation (ADB) is headed by Nguessan K. Joseph. The 151km long stretch road, will cost 80 billion CFA Francs as this reporter gathered. In his address the head of the delegation observed that the ADB delegation was also given in Kumba to evaluate the progress made so far on that road project. This ADB delegation was in Kumba on 19 March 2012 as this reporter noted.

After the address by the head of ADB delegation, the floor was open for questions by the participants, most of the participants suggested that the Cameroon government was not serious on the road project. One of the  chiefs in that village along the Kumba- Mamfe road, pointed out that the population was fed up with the government of Cameroon for remarking and remixing the song about the tarring of the  road, and as the  beneficiaries they are eagerly waiting to receive the project
