Thursday 18th October,2012 Sister Elizabeth Mbika, the Principal of St. John’s College, Kumba town visited  Kumba I Council. The reason for her visit was to invite the Mayor of Kumba I, Prince  Ekalle Mukete to the celebration of world day of catholic  colleges that is coming up in October 23rd this year.

The celebration is to make known the Catholic education all over the world and it  is done annually,that is ,all catholic colleges come together to pray and to celebrate.Thus, the 14 colleges of the Buea diocese with a student population of over  five thousand students and over five hundred teachers will all join together for the celebration. The bishop himself will be the main celebrant of this year’s occasion.

Sister Elizabeth Mbita as a principal and educationist greatly advocatse for parents to send their children to catholic schools because she believes that attending catholic schools will rightly educate the students for a better tomorrow for they give the children holistic lessons especially if we want our country to change.She says attending to catholic school will not be regrettable.
