The Divisional Delegate of Youth Affairs Meme holds meeting with youths chosen by the Kumba 1 Mayor for training

The Divisional Delegate of Youth Affairs ,Tankwa Festus  held a meeting with some ten youths from Kumba I  municipality chosen by the Lord Mayor Prince Ekalle Mukete to take part in  a training program known as , National Civic Service, which is a  Volunteer Training Program  for youths.

The Delegate for youths had to hold this meeting in order to give these youths a clue of what the training is all about. He said that any youth who loves and wants to develop his country is supposed to take part in this program because the training is just like a military training.The youths will be trained on farming and livestock which will lead to the development of the city of Kumba and why not the nation.

The training center is based in Buea and it is  going to take 60 days.It has been signed by the President of the Republic, so determination and discipline is needed from the youths. The Delegate told them that their food and lodging will be taken care of as well as their transportation which will be provided by the Lord Mayor of Kumba I.He cautioned them on the fact that  anyone  who does not follow  the rules and regulations  during the training will be sanctioned.

The Divisional Delegate of youths also made them to understand that after their training for two months, they will be given certificates of merit and a support from the government to start their own businesses. Their departure was postponed from Monday 22nd to Wednesday 24rd October 2013 with an immediate start of classes as they arrive Buea.
